That's usually my line in the evening. I always make it a point to initiate a conversation with my boys about their day. Lately, however, I have been putting in the overtime and the conversation has been turned around to me. "So, Dad, what were you doing today?" Its a fair question. Well...today, I planned a 20,000 square foot Oncology department for a major hospital. It is only one of nine projects on my desk.
By the way, if you are wondering about the pictures, the first is my desk as it looked at about 1500 today. The last is my desk as it looked when I left around 1830. Yea, architects still draw and think on real paper, with real pens and real scales. Not everything gets done on a computer - yet. As usual, click on any picture in my blog for the full-sized version.
